In 2011 I made it to Asia for the first time.
It happened on our flight to Singapore. I was just sipping red wine served by that courteous, traditionally dressed flight attendant of Singapore Airlines when I saw one of the best ads I’d ever seen.
Today, this is one of my all-time favorite ads.
This ad has everything a great ad needs: drama, dramatic music, pathos, twist, metaphor, message!
Public speakers can learn a lot from great advertising. A good speech has a hook, suspense, an unexpected twist, and a strong message – just like in this ad.
